The Format and topic of accepted articles in the journal of Thematic interpretation Studies of the Holy Quran

The two-part of “Thematic interpretation Studies of the Holy Quran” only accepts articles that are the result of the author’s  research achievements  and contain  new findings  in the following topics:

  • Explaining the role of new topics of interpretation in the thematic interpretation of the Qur’an, such as linguistics, etc
  • Types of thematic interpretation (intra-Qur’anic, extra-Qur’anic, comparative and interdisciplinary)
  • Thematic interpretation in hadiths
  • The relationship of thematic interpretation with sequential interpretation and descending interpretation
  • The pathology of thematic interpretation
  • Doubts of thematic interpretation
  • The course of historical development of thematic interpretation
  • Thematic interpretation of the verses of Al-Ahkam
  • Natural sciences and humanities in thematic interpretation
  • Thematic interpretation and Quranic sciences
  • Methodology of thematic interpretation

Important note: The journal is exempted from accepting mere review articles, compilations and reports, translations.

The files that the responsible author must upload to the system at the time of registration:

  1. The original file of the article (without authors’ details) along with the abstract translated into English and the list of sources translated into English.
  2. Profile of Authors.
  3. Completing and sending  the letter of commitment   and  non-conflict file.

(Sending the article for judging is subject to sending the mentioned file and correctly registering the information in the system).

Method of letter

  1. The submitted articles are problem-oriented and based on research literature and have not been published or sent for publications.
  2. The volume of articles should be between 5,000 and 7,000 words.
  3. It is necessary to mention the full details of the author/authors along with their full address, contact phone number, email and academic degree.
  4. The article should include abstract, keywords, introduction, background, conceptualization, main body, conclusion and list of references.
  5. It is necessary to insert the Latin equivalent of abandoned names and terms in front of the phrase and in parentheses.
  6. References in the text (APA method) should be written in parentheses by mentioning the last name of the author, year of publication, volume and page.
  7. In this publication, articles are published that are written in the field of thematic interpretation of the Qur’an (including theoretical, methodological and exemplary topics) of education.
  8. The journal reserves the right to accept or reject and edit articles.
  9. The published articles only express the point of view of their authors, and they are also responsible for the accuracy of scientific writings.
  10. Every quoted article must be referred to a source.
  11. The list of References should be arranged alphabetically at the end of the article and on a separate page:

Book: surname, name; book title; name of the translator/corrector; Date of publication, place of publication: publisher, year of publication.

Article: Journal name, number. Journal, publication year, article title; Last name, name.

Thesis: master’s/doctoral thesis, supervisor’s name, thesis title; Last name, field name, faculty, university, defense year.

  1. If a specific translation of the Holy Quran or Nahj al-Balagha is used in the article, the translator’s specifications and bibliographic information should be mentioned after mentioning the name of the Holy Quran or Nahj al-Balagha at the beginning of the list of references.
